
Oakcrest Media and Health students traveled with teachers Jason Thomas & Kevin Costello to Hess School to visit Mr Graff’s 5th grade class to talk with students about bicycle safety and distractions on the roadway.

OHS math club made 129 pbj sandwiches during our monthly event coordinated by Mrs McDonnell. The sandwiches are donated to the Rescue Mission. Shout out to Ms.Abel and Ms. Daley for bringing the kindness club to join us.





Mrs. Nicklow's Social Dynamics class celebrated National Compliments Day. We took time to compliment each other, celebrating what is special and unique about each of us. We also talked about how powerful a compliment can be and how it makes us feel. I am so lucky to have a great class with such kind students!

Members of Oakcrest’s Mock Trial team took to the court room to argue the Plaintiff’s side of the case in Round 1 of this year’s competition. They argue the Defendant’s side this Thursday night. Go, Falcons!


Oakcrest JROTC brought home 3 trophies from this weekend's Drill Competition in Piscataway, NJ. First Place for Solo Exhibition; Second Place for Dual Exhibition; and Second Place for Team Exhibition. Congratulations!!!

The students of Studio Art & Design had created realistic pencil-drawn eyes, then created an abstract collage version using old magazines and found objects. We will give more updates soon on what the art students are working on!




On January 5th, Oakcrest's Biomedical Magnet Program held the 2nd Annual Alumni Symposium. Biomedical Alumni who graduated in 2022 returned to the nest to discuss their transition into college academia with current seniors and juniors.

Students in Mrs. Tantum and Mr. Hrabal's Geometry class used spaghetti to discover the Triangle Inequality Theorem.




Honors Geometry students in Mrs. Tantum's class created triangles with given conditions and then compared them to draw conclusions about which triangles were congruent and which were not.


Sophomore students in the Biomedical Program are diagnosing bone fractures from xrays.


This month OHS science club is highlighting diversity in science. These scientists come from a variety of countries, cultures, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. They are neurodiverse and neurotypical. Science is for everyone!


OHS Biomedical Magnet Program learning phlebotomy! Students in the freshman class of our Biomedical Magnet Program learn about the work of phlebotomist and explore it as a career. Along the way, they also learn how to draw blood using a real syringe on a phlebotomy arm!
